The makers of Hanuman Ansh are planning to expand the film into a trilogy following its unexpected success at the box office, with discussions reportedly underway for the upcoming sequels.
Co-producer Namrata Singh has confirmed that the project was originally envisioned as a three-part story. The first instalment focuses on Neem Karoli Baba’s early years at Kainchi Dham in Uttarakhand, while the second film is expected to explore that period of his life in greater detail.
Speaking about the next stage of production, Singh said the team has not started writing the sequel yet. She explained that the filmmakers intend to take a break before returning to the project after an extended period of work.
The third instalment is expected to broaden the narrative and examine Neem Karoli Baba’s influence beyond India. According to Singh, the film will explore how his spiritual teachings reached international figures who became associated with him.
Among the names mentioned in connection with the story are Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg, Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey and Hollywood actress Julia Roberts.
Singh also revealed that the filmmakers have already approached some well-known personalities who are believed to have had connections with Neem Karoli Baba. Asked specifically about Julia Roberts, Indian cricketer Virat Kohli and actress Anushka Sharma, she confirmed that contact had been made with some of them.
She added that several of the individuals were already aware of the film before its release.
The sequel plans come after Hanuman Ansh emerged as one of the unexpected successes of 2026. The film has reportedly crossed Rs150 crore in net domestic earnings despite opening to relatively modest numbers.
The production team is now expected to take time to develop the next chapters before beginning work on the scripts. The filmmakers have yet to confirm the cast, release dates or whether any of the personalities approached will ultimately appear in the sequels.
