Princess Diana’s brother shares emotional book update

Princess Diana’s brother, Charles Spencer, has shared an emotional update about his latest book, Swan Song, describing it as his most personal work and a tribute to his late sister.

Spencer, the uncle of Prince William and Prince Harry, posted photographs of the newly printed book on social media, marking the moment he received a physical copy for the first time.

“Always an amazing moment for an author to receive a printed copy of their new book for the first time,” Spencer wrote, adding that Swan Song was particularly meaningful to him because of its deeply personal subject matter.

He described the book as “a brother’s tribute to an extraordinary sister”, highlighting the close bond he shared with Diana.

Spencer also revealed that he recently recorded the audiobook version of Swan Song. He said he read the entire book aloud over three days as part of the recording process.

After completing the recording, Spencer said he felt he had expressed everything he wanted to say about his sister. He also reflected that Diana would likely have approved of the words he had written.

The update comes as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle remain under intense public scrutiny over their relationship with the British royal family.

The couple recently returned to Britain, where they were reportedly surprised by a letter sent on behalf of King Charles clarifying their position as non-working members of the royal family.
