RAWALPINDI: Zeeshan Arshad, a suspect in the murder case of digital designer Hina Javed, has approached a sessions court seeking bail and denied any involvement in the killing.

The accused, who is the son of Mahmood Arshad, an employee and another accused in the case, filed a bail petition before the court, maintaining that he was innocent and had been wrongly implicated in the case.

Additional District and Sessions Judge Naseer Ahmed accepted the bail plea for hearing and issued notices to the Station House Officer (SHO) of Civil Lines Police Station and the investigating officer.

The court has directed the police to submit the complete case record along with the investigation report at the next stage of proceedings.

In his petition, Zeeshan rejected the allegations contained in the First Information Report (FIR), describing them as false and baseless. He maintained that he had no connection with the murder and was not involved in the incident.

The court will examine the prosecution’s record and investigation before deciding the bail application.

The murder case has previously led to the arrest and court proceedings against several suspects. The latest bail plea adds another development to the ongoing investigation into the killing of Hina Javed.
