Instagram has introduced a new feature for users that will make the process of creating Reels more convenient and engaging. Meta’s photo-sharing app has introduced a new editing tool called First Draft for Reels videos. The feature can automatically edit selected video clips.
In other words, it can shorten their duration, remove unnecessary parts and bring together the most important moments to create a first version of the video. This will give users a ready-made starting point for their video eliminating the need to edit every clip individually before creating the final version.
Instagram said that the First Draft tool can create an initial Reel within 10 seconds. The feature will be particularly useful for users who find video-editing software difficult to use.
The feature is being introduced first for iPhone users. It can be accessed through the Instagram camera or by selecting multiple video clips from the Reels gallery. With this feature, users will no longer need to leave Instagram to edit their videos.
