Google will provide AI-powered weather forecasting models for the project. These models will help identify areas where conditions are suitable for contrail formation. The results will then be assessed using satellite data and machine-learning technology.

It is worth noting that how long contrails remain visible in the sky depends on atmospheric temperature. Sometimes they disappear almost immediately while in other cases they can remain visible for a considerable period of time.
