Iran urges legal action over war crimes

Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has called for legal action against the United States and Israel over what he described as war crimes committed during the recent conflict involving Iran. In a message released during Judiciary Week, he urged the country’s judicial institutions to pursue these cases in both domestic and international courts.

He said the attacks resulted in the deaths of civilians from all walks of life, including newborn babies, children, women, and elderly people. He also claimed that prominent national figures and respected leaders lost their lives during the conflict. According to him, these incidents represent serious violations of international law and should become the basis for thousands of legal cases seeking justice and accountability.

Khamenei stressed that Iranian authorities should document every alleged violation and present the evidence before national and international judicial bodies. He argued that those responsible for the attacks must face legal consequences and answer for their actions.

In addition to addressing the conflict, Khamenei called on all government institutions to improve their performance in line with Islamic values and the nation’s interests. He said the judiciary plays a crucial role in protecting public rights, fighting corruption, and strengthening confidence in the country’s legal system.

He also emphasized that judicial reforms should produce tangible results rather than remain limited to policy discussions. Citizens, he said, should experience real improvements in their daily lives through a fair, transparent, and effective justice system. He added that a strong and accountable judiciary would reinforce public trust and contribute to the country’s long-term stability.
