DOHA: Indirect negotiations between Iran and the United States are expected to resume following the funeral of former Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, according to Qatari officials, who say the latest round of diplomatic engagement has produced encouraging results.

As part of the mediation efforts, Pakistani and Qatari representatives held separate meetings with Iranian and American negotiators in Doha. The discussions focused on key issues linked to the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding while building on progress achieved during the Lake Lucerne Summit.
