Speaking as a co-host on YouTuber Frank Alvarez’s channel, Vellani said she strongly believes Loki will factor heavily into the film. She pointed to how far the character has come, noting that he now holds the title of the God of Stories after years of dramatic twists.

Vellani highlighted just how much Loki has been through across the Marvel timeline. She joked that the character has died and been brought back more times than she can even count, calling it one of the most remarkable character arcs in the franchise. She also made clear that her support comes with one condition: as long as Tom Hiddleston continues playing the role, she remains fully on board.

Building on her theory, Vellani suggested that Loki’s evolution could make him central to the plot of Doomsday. She admitted, however, that this was simply her personal theory rather than any insider knowledge. She was honest about not knowing Marvel’s actual plans for the character going forward.

The conversation did not stop there. Vellani went a step further and imagined what she would do if she were in charge of the Marvel Cinematic Universe instead of Kevin Feige. Speaking on the YouTube channel Revenge Of, she explained her preference for simpler, more grounded storytelling.

She said she is a fan of straightforward narratives, adding that while universe-ending stakes can be thrilling, they need proper buildup to feel earned. According to Vellani, big crossover moments only work when audiences have first been given time to connect with smaller stories and characters.

If she had creative control, Vellani said she would shift focus toward genre-driven films centred on lesser-known characters. She stressed that she is not against large-scale crossovers like Doomsday, but believes the franchise needs to lay proper groundwork first. For Vellani, earning big moments matters more than rushing toward them.
