MULTAN : In a shocking twist to the Royal Orchard Society tragedy, it has been revealed that accused *Tauqeer Nazir, a contractor by profession for electric wiring of new buildings,* deliberately crushed a 16-year-old orphan boy to death because the boy refused to work as his helper/electrician apprentice.

The horrific incident took place in *Street No. 10, Royal Orchard Society, Multan.*

*VICTIM IDENTIFIED:*

The deceased has been identified as *Waseem Abbas, 16 years old , s/o deceased father, resident of Muzaffargarh.* The child was an orphan whose father died several years ago. Due to extreme poverty, his family had sent him to an *Orphan House / Yateem Khana in Multan*, where his cousin and several other children from his village were also living for food and shelter. The child was forced into child labour and was working as a domestic servant in the posh society.

*According to Grandfather of 16-year-old Waseem Abbas, Orphan House management and police:*
Waseem was sent to the Multan orphanage. He did *not want to learn electrician work*. According to the orphanage administrator, contractor Tauqeer Nazir had taken Waseem *just 7 days ago* from them “to teach him work”. The administrator confirmed the accused had *earlier also taken another child from the same orphanage for electrician training who is still working with him.*

According to another child from the same village present in the orphanage, who told police and family: Waseem’s another relative was also working with the same contractor. *Waseem refused because of extremely harsh, inhuman, humiliating behaviour, continuous abuse, hours-long work without break, mental torture and pressure.* His refusal and the contractor’s insistence on keeping him at all costs has raised many more questions and other angles are also being investigated, CPO Multan revealed.

According to fresh information, Waseem had refused to work as a helper with contractor Tauqeer Nazir. Enraged, Tauqeer chased him in his car and crushed him to death.

*CCTV FOOTAGE PROVES IT WAS TARGET KILLING – NOT ACCIDENT:*

Minute Mirror has obtained exclusive CCTV footage which has now gone viral.

The footage shows:
– The child walking alone in the street.
– A speeding car driven by Tauqeer Nazir appears.
– Waseem tries to save his life, runs left and right shouting for help.
– The accused deliberately steers the car towards the child again and again, hunting him down like prey.
– Finally, the car hits the child with full force. The impact is so severe that the child bounces and hits an iron security grille/gate. The child was crushed *between the car and the gate.*

*Eyewitness who called 15 said:* _”It was not an accident, it was intentional murder, target killing and open brutality.”_

*SECOND ACCUSED – MAN IN RED SHIRT IDENTIFIED AS AMJAD ALI:*

The CCTV also shows another person in a *red shirt* sitting in the car with Tauqeer Nazir. He has been identified as *Amjad Ali, friend of main accused.* Instead of taking the critically injured child to hospital, Amjad helped the driver flee from the scene. He fled immediately after the incident. Police have now included him as co-accused / abettor under *Section 302 PPC.*

Vehicle has been impounded after seizing it from ahead near the gate.

*RESCUE DECLARED DEATH ON SPOT:*
Rescue 1122 arrived, checked and *declared death on the spot.* Body was shifted to *Nishtar Hospital Multan mortuary* for post-mortem.

*ARREST & CPO MULTAN STATEMENT:*

After the incident, Tauqeer Nazir tried to escape but brave residents of Royal Orchard chased him, stopped him. The car failed to start as people gathered and snatched the keys. He was handed over to police. His accomplice Amjad Ali managed to flee. Raids are continuing for his arrest and he will be arrested soon.

CPO Multan Akhtar Farooq has taken notice and told Minute Mirror:

_”We have contacted the bereaved family in Muzaffargarh, they are on their way. Initially FIR was registered on police complaint as victim was orphan and had no guardian. Now it will be converted to family’s complaint. Medical examination of accused Tauqeer Nazir is being conducted to determine if he was drunk. After CCTV evidence, we are converting sections from 279/320 PPC (negligent driving) to 302 PPC (intentional murder). Motive is also being investigated. We assure that main accused and his accomplice will be brought to justice.”_

*CPO’s Midnight Action to Ensure Death Penalty:*

According to highly placed sources, *CPO Multan himself reached the police station at night and called the Prosecutor there* to ensure the challan/prosecution draft is written so strongly that *no loophole remains* and during trial the accused cannot get benefit of doubt, acquittal or lesser sentence. The aim is to *ensure death penalty for the main accused* in this barbaric open murder.

CPO assured that main accused and accomplice will be brought to book.

*WHY STATE BECAME COMPLAINANT – ORPHANAGE ROLE SUSPICIOUS:*

According to police officials: Considering the financial condition of the victim’s family, police / state has decided to become complainant itself to ensure exemplary punishment.

When asked why orphanage incharge was not made complainant, police replied: *”His own role is suspicious. Why was a child who was not willing to go there forced to be sent and kept there? We are examining role of orphanage and other children.”*

Police added: Normally in such cases accused use heavy money, pressure, threats and other negative tactics to reach compromise, take diyat during trial or before, due to which such culprits escape punishment and commit more such crimes, raising questions on police, courts, state, society and criminal justice system and writ of state. Therefore it was decided state itself will be complainant.

*CM PUNJAB TAKES NOTICE:*

Sources revealed that as soon as video was seen, *Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif took strict notice* of the incident and assigned *special task to IG Punjab and Additional IG CTD* to bring culprits to justice.

*Family Statement:*

Family said: “We were informed that child met an accident and is being taken to Nishtar Hospital. When we reached Nishtar, child was already dead on spot as told by Rescue and hospital staff.”

*Burial & Public Outrage:*

The victim was laid to rest in his ancestral village in Muzaffargarh. Funeral was attended by large number of people, atmosphere was mournful, every eye was tearful.

According to family, area people and children of orphanage: *Waseem Abbas was a very pious, intelligent, brilliant child who loved to study and dreamed of becoming a big officer.*

Residents of Royal Orchard Society are furious. They say overspeeding by influential people in big vehicles is routine, there are no speed breakers and society administration takes no action.

This incident has sparked massive public outrage on social media, with citizens demanding exemplary punishment / death penalty for contractor Tauqeer Nazir and his accomplice Amjad Ali, calling it the worst example of cruelty and class divide – where a poor orphan child was crushed for refusing to work as a helper.

*Case has been registered under Section 302 PPC – intentional murder.*
