Jemima Goldsmith marries Cameron O’Reilly

Jemima Goldsmith, the former wife of former Pakistan prime minister and cricket captain Imran Khan, has reportedly married Irish-Australian businessman Cameron O’Reilly.

According to a report published in the British media, the 52-year-old filmmaker and screenwriter and 62-year-old O’Reilly exchanged vows over the weekend. Jemima’s brother, Ben Goldsmith, has also confirmed that the couple got married.

The marriage has attracted considerable attention because of Jemima’s previous relationship with Imran Khan. The former couple married in 1995 and announced their divorce in 2004. They have two sons, Sulaiman and Kasim.

O’Reilly is the son of the late Sir Anthony O’Reilly, a prominent Irish businessman, media magnate and former international rugby player. He has established a career in business and private investment after working for several years within his family’s media empire.

The businessman graduated from Oxford University. He initially worked with his father’s media company, Independent News & Media. He later moved to Australian publishing group APN News & Media, where he served as chief executive before stepping down in 2000.

O’Reilly subsequently entered the private investment sector. Within a few years, he launched his own private investment fund. He later acquired Swiss metering company Landis+Gyr and became its chief executive.

The company was eventually sold to Toshiba in 2011 in a deal valued at around $2.3 billion.

Reports suggest that Jemima and O’Reilly met through their professional work. They reportedly developed a friendship before their relationship became romantic.

People close to the family have described O’Reilly as a highly private individual. Jemima is also understood to have been keen to keep their relationship away from public attention.

Members of Jemima’s family are reportedly familiar with O’Reilly. Her brother Ben has publicly confirmed the marriage, while other family members have also been linked to the celebrations.

Jemima’s sister-in-law, Jemima Jones, shared a photograph on social media while celebrating the couple’s wedding. Although the picture did not show the newlyweds, her message indicated that the family had gathered to mark the occasion.

The marriage comes as Jemima continues to remain publicly involved in matters concerning her former husband. She has campaigned for Imran Khan’s release and has spoken about his imprisonment.

Imran Khan has remained in prison since 2023 in connection with corruption cases. He has denied the allegations against him.
