Jeon Jungkook, the Maknae of BTS

Jeon Jungkook, who is a South Korean artist, dancer and model, debuted for a boy-band called BTS in 2013 when he was only 15. He was born in Busan, South Korea but to pursue his passion, he left for Seoul in his teenage without his family to follow his passion for singing and dancing. Being only a minor, it was certainly not easy to leave behind his family and home, but his obsession to follow up his dreams made him strong to overcome any inconvenience that he had to encounter.

Jeon Jungkook was the 5th member to join BTS after Kim Namjoon, Min Yoongi, Jung Hosoek and Kim Seokjin. He was the youngest among all other members, too. The fact that he was just a child chasing his dreams among elders did not sway his confidence. His hyungs (elders) were supportive to him. Only because of the love, care and support of his members, he could survive the toughest trainings of his debuts. The fandom still observes the same affection and respectful bond in their performances.

Jeon Jungkook has made the history with his melody and performances by performing as a solo artist or along with his hyungs. His voice echoes deeply inside the hearts of his fans who have seen him growing to a generous and handsome man or talent.

Jeon Jungkook joined the Big Hit Entrainment, now HYBHE, as a member of BTS. It is a South Korean company that creates and manages BTS. Prior to BTS debuting under this company, it was struggling behind a veil but with the massive success of BTS, it grew into the largest entertainment giants in South Korea.

Bangtan Sonyeodan (Bulletproof boy scouts) did not achieve fame overnight but the struggle under a small agency, cramped rooms and the roaming around the street to convince people to attend their concert got them global recognition. Hence proving nothing is achieved overnight.

Later in his career, Jeon Jungkook also made his official solo debut on July 14, 2023 with the release of his single hit ‘Seven’. He has also collaborated with highly successful western and international artists, both as a solo artist and as a part of BTS.

In November 2020, Jeon Jungkook performed at the Al Bayt Stadium Qatar during the FIFA opening ceremony, making history as the first Asian solo artist ever to perform at FIFA world cup opening Ceremony. During the opening ceremony, he performed live alongside Qatari singer Fahad Al Kubaisi. He co-wrote and sang “Dreamers” which recorded a record-breaking 126.9 million global engagements on social media within its first 24 hours.

Jeon Jungkook is an industrious, loving and generous artist he has always been magnanimous towards his co artists, fans and other members. He has often shared his feelings for his fans in his live performances, showing the deep respect and care he has for them.

Thus, Jeon Jungkook is an inspiration to many young people, figuring out whether it is too early or too late to start with dreams. He was only 13 when he relentlessly kept chasing his dreams. No matter if the path to your dreams is scary, if you believe in yourself, you can certainly make it. As jeon Jungkook narrated “we make it happen because we believe it, we make it happen cause we can see it.”
