Karachi police have arrested two suspects allegedly linked to the Pinky Gang during an intelligence-based operation near Boat Basin. The action was carried out on a tip-off, officials said.
According to Deputy Inspector General (South) Asad Raza, the suspects were taken into custody during a targeted raid in the area. The operation was part of ongoing efforts to curb organised criminal activity in the city.
Police recovered ice (methamphetamine) and cocaine from the possession of the arrested individuals. Officials said the seized narcotics have been sent for further examination.
The DIG South confirmed that initial findings suggest both suspects were working for the Pinky Gang. He added that investigators are currently conducting detailed interrogation to trace further links and members of the network.
He also noted that this case is connected to a wider probe into the gang’s digital and financial activities. Earlier, investigators recovered a large amount of data from the mobile phone of Anmol Pinky, including around 75,000 images, nearly 100 GB of data, hundreds of transaction screenshots, a contact list of 13,000 numbers, and approximately 42,000 call records.
Police officials say the digital evidence is being thoroughly analyzed to uncover the full scope of the gang’s operations and possible associates.
