KARACHI: Several areas of Karachi received light drizzle early Monday morning, bringing a pleasant change to the city’s otherwise humid weather.
Drizzle was reported in Saddar, II Chundrigar Road, Burns Road, Numaish, Guru Mandir, Nazimabad and surrounding areas.
The light rain made roads slippery in several parts of the city. A number of motorcyclists reportedly lost control of their bikes and slipped on wet roads.
The city administration has advised motorcyclists to drive carefully and reduce their speed while travelling on slippery roads. Citizens have also been urged to remain cautious, particularly during periods of drizzle and strong winds.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, most parts of Karachi are expected to remain cloudy and humid over the next 24 hours. Light drizzle is possible during the night and early morning hours.
The weather department also forecast occasional gusty winds in the city. The maximum temperature is expected to remain between 31 and 33 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 26.5°C.
Humidity in Karachi currently stands at around 77 per cent, with sea breezes blowing at approximately 15 kilometres per hour.
