The actress recently appeared on India’s Best Dance Season 5, where she spoke about the making of the popular comedy film directed by David Dhawan.
Karisma recalled that most of the film was shot in Goa, and she initially felt unsure about her role in the project. She said she once asked the director about her screen presence in the film, to which he assured her that she would feature prominently in key song sequences.
She specifically referred to the hit song “What Is Mobile Number”, which became one of the film’s most memorable musical numbers. Karisma said the song was filmed in just one day and highlighted the vibrant energy and charm of Bollywood dance sequences of that era.
However, she revealed that one detail during the shoot made her nervous. While the story was set in Goa, parts of the song were filmed at The Retreat Hotel in Madh Island Resort. She said she noticed the background inconsistency and feared that viewers might catch the mismatch.
Karisma admitted she even expressed concern to the director, saying that if audiences noticed the continuity error, it could affect the film’s reception. However, she added that despite her worry, the detail went largely unnoticed by viewers.
