According to reports, Joshua was first informed of the accident before later being told that his daughter’s heart had stopped on the way to the hospital. The crash reportedly occurred in Frederick, Maryland, though full details surrounding the incident have not yet been made public.

Hottle came from a multi-generational deaf family and was fluent in American Sign Language from an early age.
