I am in Lahore, Pakistan, right now, sitting in my room. As a matter of fact, I miss Islamabad, Pakistan, very much.
My father’s nephew has gone to England for one month, so I cannot go to my beloved city until he returns. The last time I was in Islamabad was a couple of weeks ago, and I have been missing it ever since.
During my last visit, I went to the Centaurus shopping mall. I had meals at KFC and McDonald’s, enjoyed ice cream at Baskin-Robbins, and spent time wandering around the mall. I truly miss that place.
I used to visit Centaurus with my father, and we both loved the food court. I also went to the old bookshop, where I bought two books about Iran. Once I started reading, I became so absorbed in the books that I forgot about everything else. I also had lunch at Lofology and enjoyed high tea at the Serena Hotel. The Serena always looks magnificent.
I miss my beloved city of Islamabad very much. Although my mother and I went to Third Culture in Lahore a few days ago for chocolate cake and water, and I even made a friend there, Lahore still does not feel the same to me.
From my father’s nephew’s house in Rawalpindi, you can see the Faisal Mosque on a clear day. That view has always stayed with me.
The last time I boarded a plane was in April 2025, when my father and I traveled to Karachi, Pakistan. We visited Dolmen Mall and LuckyOne Mall, and I thoroughly enjoyed spending time in both shopping malls.
I truly miss the heart of Islamabad. F-9 Park is splendid, and I miss walking through it.
I also miss the streets of Bangkok, Thailand. We used to stay at the Chatrium Hotel, cruise along the Chao Phraya River, and visit nightclubs, many of which had a cover charge. Those trips remain some of my favorite memories.
I remember that I was not feeling well on the day my father was dying in the hospital. That is a memory I will never forget.
If you are ever feeling bored in Islamabad, you can always visit Kohsar Market for lunch or dinner, or stop by Brew for a relaxing break.
I love traveling and I especially enjoy flying. Every journey feels like the beginning of a new adventure.
Blue Area and Tim Hortons add to the beauty and charm of Islamabad, especially the late-night gatherings at people’s houses.
One of the best things about Islamabad is attending weddings at the Serena Hotel and other special events around the city.
We have always traveled to Islamabad by Daewoo bus. From my grandfather’s sister’s house, I usually take a taxi to my father’s relatives’ house in Rawalpindi.
Throughout my life, I have always questioned the world and our existence. Is there life beyond Earth? Does God exist? What happens after death? These are questions that continue to occupy my mind.
More than anything, I miss Islamabad, the wonderful journeys I shared with my father, and the dream of becoming a writer.
There is still so much I want to do. I want to return to Islamabad and Karachi, travel through Thailand and England, write articles, update my blog, create YouTube videos, and claim the pension my father left for me after he passed away.
I have many goals and many dreams. I hope to become a famous writer, continue exploring the world, and, with time, find peace beyond these sufferings.
