Macklemore to donate $1 million from Ed Sheeran tour

American rapper Macklemore has announced plans to donate $1 million in proceeds connected to British singer Ed Sheeran’s ‘Loop Tour’ to organisations providing humanitarian assistance to Palestinians.

The rapper shared the announcement in a detailed post on Instagram, explaining that the money would be distributed among six organisations working to support Palestinian civilians affected by the ongoing humanitarian crisis.

The organisations named in his announcement include the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund, HEAL Palestine, Gaza Soup Kitchen, Medical Aid for Palestinians, UNRWA USA and ANERA.

Macklemore said the funds would be divided between the six groups, which provide different forms of humanitarian assistance, including medical support, food aid and relief services for Palestinians.

The donation comes after the rapper publicly expressed his support for Palestinians during a recent performance and later became involved in a dispute surrounding his participation in Sheeran’s tour.

In his Instagram post, Macklemore also challenged New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft to match his $1 million donation.
