Meghan shares rare glimpse of family life

The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, has offered a rare glimpse into her family’s life in Britain after returning to the UK with Prince Harry and their two children.

Meghan shared a 34-second video on Instagram featuring several moments from what appeared to be a family outing in the countryside. Set to Wham!’s “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go”, the clip showed Meghan and Harry walking hand in hand along a country path.

The footage also featured their son Archie running towards deer while their daughter Lilibet rode a bicycle carrying a doll. In another scene, Harry was seen fishing with the children as the family’s dog walked beside them near the water.

British flag and heart emojis appeared throughout the video, which also included scenes of children wearing waterproof boots and walking through puddles. A separate shot showed a child’s feet near an open fire.

The post marked the first time Meghan had featured her family on her Instagram grid since the Sussexes returned to Britain from California. The exact location and date of the footage were not disclosed.

Meghan and Harry have generally kept Archie and Lilibet away from the public spotlight. Although Meghan occasionally shares glimpses of their children online, their faces are typically not shown clearly.

The Sussexes moved to the United States in 2020 after stepping back from their roles as senior working members of the British royal family. They have not resumed official royal duties and are expected to continue their lives in Britain as non-working royals.

The family is reportedly planning to base itself at a private property in the Cotswolds, outside London, while Archie and Lilibet have been enrolled at a school.

Their return has also coincided with renewed attention on their relationship with the wider royal family. Last month, a letter issued on behalf of King Charles III confirmed that Harry and Meghan would retain their status as private citizens and would not resume working royal roles.

The couple’s spokesperson said they were surprised that they had not been informed about the decision beforehand. The letter also clarified that the Sussexes would not use the His and Her Royal Highness styles.
