Met office alerts farmers to heavy rain during wheat harvest

The Met Office has issued a weather warning for several regions in Pakistan, including Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Upper Sindh, and South Punjab. They expect heavy rain with thunder and hail over the next 24 hours.

As a result, wheat farmers are advised to be cautious during harvesting. They should take extra care with their activities.

Islamabad and its nearby areas may have cloudy skies with some wind and lightning, but other regions could face much heavier rain.

Authorities are especially worried about the risk of floods in rivers near Harnai, Zhob, Barkhan, and Naseerabad. Landslides are also a concern in the upper parts of the country.

Due to these weather forecasts, the Department of Meteorology is encouraging farmers to adjust their wheat harvesting plans. Good organization and planning will be key to avoid significant losses from potential heavy rain and wet fields.
