Mikaal Zulfiqar criticises journalist over unprepared introduction

Pakistani actor Mikaal Zulfiqar has expressed disappointment after a journalist mispronounced his name and introduced him as a rising star during the launch event of his upcoming film Pashmina at Punjab University.

The incident took place when the journalist appeared to struggle while introducing the actor and asking a question about the film. The incomplete question and apparent lack of preparation caught attention during the event.

Mikaal responded with a smile and continued with the occasion, saying he was happy to be present at the launch of Pashmina. However, he later shared his displeasure on social media, questioning whether his reaction was prompted by being described as an emerging star or by the way his name was pronounced.

The actor wrote that he was unsure which part of the introduction had made him smirk. His response brought the incident into the spotlight, with social media users also criticising the journalist for appearing unprepared.

Mikaal Zulfiqar has built a strong presence in Pakistan’s television and film industry. He is known for dramas including Diyar-e-Dil, Dur-e-Shehwar, Pani Jaisa Pyar, Sangat, Khasara, Fraud and Jaisay Aapki Marzi. He is also receiving appreciation for his performance in Geo TV’s drama Khafa.

The actor is now preparing for the release of Pashmina, in which he will appear alongside Shaan Shahid, Sadia Khan and other cast members.
