American singer Miley Cyrus has made a heartfelt gesture for a fan battling stage three breast cancer by personally shaving her head and offering emotional support during one of the most difficult periods of her life.

The singer met her fan, Cash Jacobs, after inviting her to attend a second show at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. Cyrus performed at the venue on October 16 and 18, giving Jacobs an opportunity to fulfil a deeply personal wish.

Jacobs had shared her wish on social media on October 15, hoping that Cyrus would shave her head as she underwent cancer treatment. She later explained that her hair was falling out rapidly because of chemotherapy and feared that little would be left by the time she met the singer.

Before attending the first concert, Jacobs admitted that she felt self-conscious about her hair loss. She planned to wear a wig but said she would remove it if Cyrus called her name so the singer could spot her in the crowd.

Although her wish did not come true at the first show, Cyrus’s team invited her back for the second performance. The opportunity eventually led to a personal meeting in which the singer helped Jacobs through the emotional experience of losing her hair.

Sharing a video of the encounter on TikTok, Jacobs described meeting her idol as an unforgettable experience. She said Cyrus not only arranged her return to Los Angeles and provided concert tickets but also took the time to share one of the most vulnerable moments of her life.

Jacobs revealed that receiving a breast cancer diagnosis, undergoing a procedure to have a port inserted into her chest and beginning chemotherapy had been overwhelming. She also spoke about her struggles with major depressive episodes and explained how Cyrus’s music had helped her through difficult times.

During their meeting, Cyrus reassured Jacobs that strength and vulnerability could exist together. Encouraging her to face the challenges ahead, the singer told her that she could be both soft and strong and would brave the storm.

Cyrus also offered words of encouragement about Jacobs’s appearance, complimenting her face, ears and head shape. She thanked the fan for allowing her to be part of such an intimate moment and said she felt honoured to share the experience with her.

Jacobs praised Cyrus for her kindness and authenticity, expressing gratitude to the singer’s team and the people who helped bring her wish to life through social media.
