Muzaffargarh Deputy Commissioner Usman Tahir Jappa visited the ongoing two-day Mango Festival 2026 at Fayyaz Park, organised under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
During his visit, the deputy commissioner inspected different varieties of mangoes, agricultural and information stalls, and reviewed the arrangements made for the festival.
He met with orchard owners, farmers, agricultural experts, and exporters and discussed matters related to mango production, processing, grading, packaging, value addition, and promotion of exports.
The deputy commissioner said that, in line with the Punjab government’s vision, the development of the agricultural sector, encouragement of growers, and providing access to global markets for local agricultural products are among the government’s top priorities.
He directed relevant officials to ensure the provision of the best possible facilities for visitors at the festival. He stressed that cleanliness, security, parking, drinking water, lighting, and other arrangements should remain exemplary so citizens can enjoy the event in a pleasant environment.
The two-day Mango Festival 2026 at Fayyaz Park has attracted visitors with premium and unique mango varieties from Muzaffargarh and other areas of South Punjab.
Along with a grand display of mangoes, information stalls have been set up by the Agriculture Department, pesticide companies, and various government departments. Farmers are being provided practical guidance about modern agricultural technology, mango processing, grading, packaging, and export opportunities.
To make the festival more memorable, a poetry gathering featuring renowned poets from South Punjab will be held on Saturday evening, while a colourful musical night is scheduled for Sunday night.
A large number of citizens, families, women, and children participated in the festival and showed keen interest in mango exhibitions, agricultural displays, and cultural activities.
