The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced that the by-election for National Assembly constituency NA-77, Gujranwala, will take place on November 8, 2026.
The electoral body released the election schedule from its Islamabad office, outlining key deadlines for candidates and political parties preparing to contest the seat.
According to the schedule, candidates can submit their nomination papers from September 28 to September 30. The ECP will complete the scrutiny of nomination papers by October 5, allowing candidates and other stakeholders to raise objections through the prescribed legal process.
The commission has set October 15 as the deadline for deciding appeals against decisions concerning the nomination papers. Candidates who wish to withdraw from the contest must do so by October 17.
