RAWALPINDI: Cricket fans will soon be able to secure their seats for Pakistan’s opening Test against Sri Lanka, with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announcing that tickets for the highly anticipated five-day encounter will go on sale on Friday, November 6.

The first match of the two-Test series is scheduled to begin on November 9 at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, with the PCB keeping ticket prices affordable to encourage maximum fan attendance.

According to the board, physical tickets will be available at designated TCS Express Centres across Rawalpindi and Islamabad.

In a move aimed at making international cricket accessible to more spectators, tickets for General, First-Class, Premium and VIP enclosures have all been priced at just Rs200 per person per day.

Under the General category, fans can watch the action from the Miran Bakhsh and Sohail Tanvir enclosures. The First-Class section includes the Shoaib Akhtar and Yasir Arafat enclosures.

Meanwhile, spectators opting for Premium seating can purchase tickets for the Azhar Mahmood and Javed Miandad enclosures at the same price.

The PCB has also kept the Imran Khan and Javed Akhtar VIP enclosures at Rs200 per day, allowing supporters to enjoy the international fixture from different sections without paying extra.

However, fans looking for a more exclusive match-day experience will have additional options. Tickets for the PCB Gallery, located in the stadium’s main building, have been set at Rs800 per person per day.

The Platinum Box will be the most expensive seating category, with tickets costing Rs8,000 per person per day.

The PCB confirmed that ticket prices will remain unchanged throughout the five days of the Rawalpindi Test, which is scheduled to conclude on November 13.

Following the opening encounter, both teams will travel to Lahore for the second and final Test at Gaddafi Stadium from November 17 to 21.

With affordable seating options available across most enclosures, the PCB is hoping to attract strong crowds as Pakistan prepares to host Sri Lanka in an exciting Test series.
