Mr Patlu breaks silence after deadly wedding stampede

Popular Pakistani TikToker Ansar Jatt, widely known as Mr Patlu, has issued his first public statement following a deadly stampede at an event organised in connection with his wedding celebrations in Sialkot.

The incident turned a celebratory gathering into a tragedy after a large crowd reportedly gathered for an expensive giveaway announced by the social media personality. The situation became uncontrollable, triggering a stampede that left one person dead and 18 others injured.

The incident has also drawn attention from authorities, with reports of raids being conducted to arrest Mr Patlu in connection with the tragedy.

Responding to the incident, Mr Patlu shared an emotional message, expressing grief over the loss of life and injuries. He said his intention behind the giveaway was to support underprivileged people and that he had no other motive.

He also claimed that he was not present at the venue when the incident occurred. Appealing to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and Field Marshal Asim Munir, he urged them to look into the matter.
