SIALKOT: Acting on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Sialkot Ms. Saba Asghar Ali, the PERA Force Sialkot carried out an anti-encroachment operation on Zafarwal Road and in the Babay Beri area, resulting in the sealing of several shops and hotels for violating regulations.
According to officials, it was later discovered that the owners of the sealed establishments, including Golden Biryani and Gujjar Tikka Shop, had resumed business activities despite official sealing orders, in clear violation of government directives and provisions of the PERA Act.
Upon receiving information about the violation, In-charge PERA Force Sialkot Ms. Rubab Saeed initiated immediate legal action. Cases were registered against the owners under the relevant sections of the PERA Act, and the accused were taken into custody.
The arrested individuals were subsequently presented before the court, where Judicial Magistrate Ms. Sidra Aneeq Chaudhry ordered that the nominated accused be sent to jail on a 14-day judicial remand.
Officials stated that strict action will continue against individuals who violate government orders and that no leniency will be shown towards those obstructing efforts to eliminate encroachments and ensure compliance with the law.
