The federal government has increased the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD), with the new rates taking effect from September 15, 2026.
According to a press release issued by the Petroleum Division on Monday, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) revised the ex-depot prices of petroleum products under the federal government’s petroleum pricing mechanism.
The price of high-speed diesel has been increased by Rs6.10 per litre, taking it from Rs403.32 to Rs409.42 per litre.
Meanwhile, the price of motor spirit (petrol) has risen by Rs4.42 per litre, increasing from Rs375.82 to Rs380.24 per litre.
The Petroleum Division said the latest price adjustment was necessitated by developments in the international market, including changes in Platts rates, premiums and other incidental costs.
The revised prices will remain applicable from September 15, according to the official notification.
