ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in his capacity as the competent authority has approved the compulsory retirement of Grade-20 officer Dr. Anila Salman.
According to a notification issued by the Establishment Division, the order for Dr. Anila Salman’s compulsory retirement will take effect immediately.
Sources said the decision was taken after completion of disciplinary proceedings against Dr. Anila Salman under the relevant government service rules. Compulsory retirement is considered one of the major penalties available under the rules, apart from dismissal from service.
Right to appeal within 30 days
The notification states that Dr. Anila Salman has the right to file an appeal against the decision within 30 days of the issuance of the order in accordance with the applicable rules.
Dr. Anila Salman is a BPS-20 officer and prior to the proceedings was serving in an important position in the federal government. The Establishment Division has also informed the relevant ministries and departments to implement the notification.
