The aircraft was flying from Sharjah to Karachi when it lost contact over the Arabian Sea. Five crew members were on board.

According to aviation authorities, the K2 Airways Boeing 737 cargo flight reported a navigation system problem while approaching Karachi. The aircraft was in contact with air traffic controllers before radar contact and communication were lost.
Officials said the plane showed a rapid decline in altitude and a sudden change in direction before disappearing from radar. The last known location was around 155 nautical miles west of Karachi.
A major search operation has been launched at sea. Pakistan Navy ships, Air Force aircraft and other vessels have been deployed to trace the aircraft and find the crew members.
An investigation team from the Bureau of Safety Investigation has reached Karachi to examine the incident. The team will review flight records and inspect relevant documents as part of the inquiry.
Flight tracking data has indicated a possible crash in the sea southwest of Karachi. Authorities said the actual cause of the incident will be determined after a detailed investigation.
