Results received from all 185 polling stations show that Asad Hanif Jatt secured 41,245 votes defeating his closest competitor Muhammad Awais Gujjar of Tehreek-e-Ehsaas Pakistan who obtained 23,167 votes.
The unofficial results indicate that the PML-N candidate won by a margin of 18,078 votes.
The constituency became vacant following the death of PML-N Member of the Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Muhammad Hanif Jatt. The party subsequently nominated his son, Asad Hanif Jatt, to contest the by-election.
According to election statistics, a total of 258,122 registered voters were eligible to participate in the electoral process. The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) had established 185 polling stations with 560 polling booths across the constituency. Seven candidates contested the election, including four independent candidates.
Polling took place on Sunday, November 8, 2026 and continued from 8am to 5pm. The voting process concluded without any major untoward incident.
However, the election witnessed allegations from the rival camp. Muhammad Awais Gujjar accused PML-N supporters of bringing fake ballot boxes into a polling station during voting. Asad Hanif Jatt’s camp strongly rejected the allegation.
Meanwhile, another by-election was held on the same day in National Assembly constituency NA-77 Gujranwala-I. The seat had fallen vacant following the death of PML-N Member of the National Assembly Mahmood Bashir Virk. The party nominated his son, Rashid Bashir Virk, as its candidate.
It is important to note that the figures for PP-203 are unofficial and have not yet been verified by the Election Commission. The final results will be announced by the ECP through its official process.
