PTI leaders meet NA speaker over political matters

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders met National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq at Parliament House to discuss the country’s political situation and matters related to recent Supreme Court directives.

The meeting took place in the Speaker’s chamber, where PTI leaders Asad Qaiser, Junaid Akbar and other party representatives were present. Former PTI secretary general Asad Umar also arrived at the chamber and joined the discussion.

Federal Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar also attended the meeting, which focused on political developments, the implementation of the Supreme Court’s orders and the health of PTI founder Imran Khan.

Speaking to the media, Asad Umar expressed hope that the ongoing political engagement would lead to a positive outcome. He said the immediate focus remained on the health-related issue and indicated that the matter required attention at this stage.

PTI leader Asad Qaiser said the party delegation had approached the National Assembly speaker to discuss the implementation of the Supreme Court’s orders. He said the PTI leaders would urge the speaker to accept and implement the court’s decision in its entirety.

Qaiser added that the meeting would cover two key issues: Imran Khan’s health and the Supreme Court’s decision. He said the PTI wanted the relevant authorities to ensure compliance with the court’s directives.

The meeting comes amid continued political tensions and efforts by political stakeholders to address differences through parliamentary and political channels.
