Putin issues nuclear warning to West on Ukraine situation

Russian President Vladimir Putin issued a nuclear warning to the West on the situation in Ukraine. He also announced the suspension of a bilateral nuclear arms control pact, the deployment of new strategic systems for warfare and the possibility that Moscow may begin nuclear testing.

Putin claimed that Russia will achieve its war goals and charged the West with aiming to annihilate Russia, speaking nearly a year to the day after ordering an invasion that precipitated the largest conflict with the West since the height of the Cold War.
