Raiders fans troll Travis Kelce by mocking Taylor Swift

Raiders fans had plenty to say during Sunday’s dramatic clash with the Kansas City Chiefs, and one supporter used the occasion to take a playful shot at Travis Kelce and his girlfriend, Taylor Swift.

During the game at Allegiant Stadium, a Raiders fan was spotted walking through the stands while holding a sign featuring pictures of Kelce and Swift. The message appeared to mock the pop superstar’s looks, with the sign reading, “Scores 6’s on & off The Field.”

The unusual sign quickly caught attention online. Within 22 hours, a post featuring the moment had received around 75,000 views on X, along with 265 likes, 20 reposts and 30 comments.

The reaction from football fans was divided. While some people found the joke entertaining, others felt that targeting Swift was unnecessary and that fans should focus more on the game.

“The hate Taylor Swift gets is unwarranted. It’s the new Nickelback sucks meme,” one X user wrote.

Another commenter took a more sarcastic approach, arguing that Swift’s wealth and success made the criticism meaningless. The fan joked that even if someone considered her a “6,” she was still a billionaire.

However, not everyone was willing to laugh at the sign. One fan defended Swift and turned the criticism back toward the Raiders, arguing that there were plenty of things about the football game that deserved attention instead.

“There’s a whole football team to roast and we’re grading somebody’s wife? We can do better than that,” the fan wrote, adding that Raiders supporters could direct their energy toward their own team after the loss.

On the field, the Raiders ultimately had little to celebrate. Las Vegas suffered a narrow 30-27 defeat against Kansas City in the first meeting between the teams this season.

Raiders quarterback Kirk Cousins attempted to lead a late comeback in the fourth quarter as Las Vegas looked for a way to turn the game around. However, the effort ended when Cousins was intercepted at the Kansas City 36-yard line by Xavier Nwankpa.

Kelce also had a relatively quiet performance against Las Vegas. The 36-year-old tight end, who has enjoyed a strong stretch of performances this season and has traditionally been a major problem for the Raiders, finished the game with only two receptions for 15 yards.

Despite his limited production, Kelce and Swift remained one of the biggest talking points surrounding the matchup.

The couple began dating in 2023 after Kelce publicly revealed that he had tried to give Swift a friendship bracelet during her Eras Tour stop in Kansas City. Although his first attempt to meet the singer did not work out, the moment eventually helped spark their relationship.

Since then, their high-profile romance has continued to attract huge attention from both sports and entertainment fans. Swift has regularly appeared at Kelce’s games, while Kelce has supported her during major moments in her music career.

The Raiders fan’s sign therefore became another example of how closely the couple remains connected to NFL culture, with Swift often becoming part of the conversation whenever Kelce takes the field.

While some fans viewed the sign as harmless sports banter, others argued that personal attacks on Swift crossed the line. In the end, however, Kansas City walked away with the victory, giving Kelce and Swift plenty of reason to enjoy the final result despite Kelce’s quiet statistical night.
