Swat: A record number of tourists visited the scenic Swat Valley during the Eid-ul-Adha holidays, according to official figures.
Saeed Rahman, spokesperson for the Upper Swat Development Authority (USDA), said data provided by Swat Police showed that between May 27 and May 30, 2026, a total of 333,877 tourists entered Swat in 34,693 vehicles. During the same period, 214,755 tourists and 25,435 vehicles left the valley.
The spokesperson said that 62 foreign tourists also visited Swat. They came from the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Norway, the United States, China, France, Poland, Belarus, Malaysia, and Iran.

According to the USDA, special arrangements were made during Eid to facilitate tourists, maintain smooth traffic flow, and ensure the delivery of public services. The measures were implemented under the supervision of Adviser to the Chief Minister on Tourism and Culture Saadat Hassan, Secretary Tourism Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Saadat Hassan, and Director General Upper Swat Development Authority Shoaib Abbas, in coordination with the district administration, Swat Police, Tourism Police, Traffic Police, and other relevant departments.

Saeed Rahman said additional Tourism Police personnel were deployed at major tourist destinations to assist visitors and provide guidance. First-aid services and tourism motorcycle units remained active to respond quickly to emergencies.
He added that Tourist Information Desks and Tourist Facilitation Centers established at Bab-e-Swat, Bab-e-Matta, Bahrain, Malam Jabba, and Kalam provided information, guidance, and assistance to 34,611 tourists. During the same period, services were extended to 3,567 vehicles, while 3,559 people received first aid and emergency assistance.
To improve tourist awareness, 2,500 informational brochures were distributed containing details about tourist attractions, travel routes, parking facilities, accommodation options, traffic conditions, and safety guidelines.
