RAWALPINDI: Parliamentary Secretary to the Chief Minister’s Inspection Team Chaudhry Haider Sultan met Provincial Minister for Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Khawaja Salman Rafique to discuss the establishment of a Rescue 1122 station in Chakwal.
Chaudhry Haider Sultan stressed the need to improve emergency response facilities in the district, saying expansion of Rescue 1122 services was essential for providing timely medical, fire and rescue assistance to the public.
Khawaja Salman Rafique supported the proposal and said the Punjab government, under the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, was committed to improving emergency services across the province.
He directed the concerned officers to examine the feasibility, location, staffing and resource requirements and submit a progress report at the earliest so that the Rescue 1122 station could be established in Chakwal this year.
Both sides said the facility would help save lives, reduce response time and improve emergency services for the people of Chakwal and surrounding areas.
