Rohit Shetty to replace Salman Khan as host of Bigg Boss 20’s weekend ka vaar

Filmmaker Rohit Shetty is reportedly set to replace Bollywood superstar Salman Khan as the host of the upcoming episode of the Indian reality

Filmmaker Rohit Shetty is reportedly set to replace Bollywood superstar Salman Khan as the host of the upcoming episode of the Indian reality show Bigg Boss 20’s Weekend Ka Vaar, scheduled to air next week.

According to reports, Salman Khan will be absent from the upcoming episode due to previously scheduled professional commitments. The change was reportedly announced by the actor himself during the episode broadcast on October 18, when he informed the contestants that another host would take over his responsibilities for the following week.

Rohit Shetty, known for his work as a filmmaker and television presenter, is expected to step in and lead the weekend episode. His reported involvement has attracted attention because of his extensive experience in the entertainment industry and his previous association with reality television.

The Weekend Ka Vaar episodes are an important part of the Bigg Boss format, featuring the host’s interactions with contestants, discussions about events inside the house and reactions to their behaviour during the week. Salman Khan has been closely associated with the show, making his temporary absence a notable development for viewers.

However, the reported change appears to be linked to the actor’s existing professional schedule rather than a permanent departure from the programme. No information in the available report suggests that Rohit Shetty will replace Salman Khan as the show’s regular host.

Shetty has established himself as one of Bollywood’s prominent commercial filmmakers, directing several successful films across different genres. His notable directorial projects include Singham, Simmba and Chennai Express, which have contributed to his popularity among Indian cinema audiences.

Apart from filmmaking, Shetty has also developed a strong presence on television. He has hosted multiple seasons of the action-based reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi, in which contestants undertake challenging physical tasks and stunts. His energetic presentation style and experience managing reality television formats have made him a familiar face among audiences.

His reported appearance on Bigg Boss 20 would mark another hosting assignment following the conclusion of Khatron Ke Khiladi 15. The move could also bring a different presentation style to the upcoming Weekend Ka Vaar episode.

The possibility of Shetty taking charge of the episode has generated interest among reality television fans, particularly those who follow both Bigg Boss and Khatron Ke Khiladi. His experience with competitive reality programming may provide a different dynamic during his interaction with the contestants.

Meanwhile, Salman Khan remains strongly associated with Bigg Boss, having hosted numerous editions of the popular reality show. His appearances during the weekend episodes have traditionally played a central role in addressing contestants’ conduct, highlighting conflicts and discussing developments inside the house.

For the upcoming episode, viewers will reportedly see Rohit Shetty taking over the hosting duties while Salman Khan attends to his prior commitments.

Although the reported arrangement has attracted attention, further details about the episode and the hosting schedule have not been provided in the original report. The development is currently being presented as a temporary change, with no indication that Salman Khan’s long-term association with Bigg Boss 20 has ended.
