Senior Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Saad Rafique has said that dialogue remains the most effective way to resolve political disputes and national challenges.

Speaking at a ceremony in Rawalpindi, he said negotiations should not be viewed negatively. He added that offering talks does not mean cities should be shut down or public life should be disrupted. According to him, political differences should be addressed through discussions rather than confrontation.

Rafique also commented on Pakistan’s electoral process. He said it is not entirely wrong when people argue that election results sometimes differ from public expectations. He stressed the importance of acknowledging public concerns and addressing them through democratic means.

Later, while addressing an election campaign gathering for a migrant seat in the Azad Jammu and Kashmir elections, the PML-N leader spoke about political representation for Kashmiris.

He said there is no reason why the number of assembly seats in Azad Jammu and Kashmir cannot be increased if required. However, he maintained that the representation of Kashmiris in Pakistan should not be reduced under any circumstances.

Rafique said the PML-N continues to enjoy strong public support in Azad Kashmir. He also acknowledged that another political party has a significant presence in the region, saying political competition is a normal part of the democratic process.
