In recognition of their professionalism and dedication, the government disbursed more than Rs. 845 million in honoraria, acknowledging the indispensable role teachers play in safeguarding the integrity of public examinations.

Beyond classroom instruction, educators are increasingly contributing to curriculum development and educational policymaking. Teachers from schools, colleges and universities now serve on structured External Review Committees responsible for evaluating textbooks at multiple stages of curriculum development. Their expertise is formally recognised through remuneration ranging from Rs. 12,500 to Rs. 23,750 per reviewer, reflecting the growing institutional recognition of teachers as valued contributors to educational reform rather than merely its implementers.

Teacher participation has also been strengthened through an inclusive feedback mechanism that places classroom experience at the centre of policymaking. Practical recommendations are regularly gathered through field surveys, stakeholder consultations, official correspondence, emails, WhatsApp submissions and Learning Support Assessment (LSA) reports. This collaborative approach enables policymakers to refine curriculum, improve textbooks and respond more effectively to the evolving needs of teachers and students across Punjab.
