Sabri Sisters featured on Spotify’s Times Square billboard

The Sabri Sisters are set to embark on their debut UK tour, blending traditional qawwali with modern sounds.

The Sabri Sisters have given the nation reason to celebrate after unlocking a new career milestone. The singing duo has recently collaborated with Spotify Pakistan, becoming the platform’s EQUAL Pakistan ambassadors.
Following the announcement, the nieces of late Pakistani singer Amjad Sabri featured on Spotify’s iconic Times Square billboard in New York City on Wednesday, June 17.
On Monday, June 22, the duo’s official account shared their image as ambassadors for Q2 2026 in collaboration with Spotify Pakistan, celebrating the achievement with fans who have supported the rising artists since the start of their musical journey. The caption read that the duo’s melodies would now echo across the world, inviting fans to listen to them on the EQUAL Pakistan playlist.
Sanam and Anamta Sabri also expressed their gratitude through their personal accounts. Sanam wrote a simple message of thanks, while Anamta shared a heart emoji alongside an evil eye symbol. Fans flooded the comments with congratulations, with one wishing them many more achievements ahead and another describing Pakistani music as on fire.
For those unfamiliar, the Sabri Sisters, Anamta and Saman, are a rising Pakistani musical duo and the nieces of the legendary qawwal Amjad Sabri. They have built a strong following for blending traditional Sufi sounds with modern mainstream music, including appearances on Coke Studio.
The duo rose to prominence with their rendition of Meri Zindagi Hai Tu, a collaboration with Asim Azhar that served as the original soundtrack for the hit Pakistani drama of the same name, starring Hania Aamir and Bilal Abbas Khan. They are also widely recognised for their Coke Studio 15 track Maghron La, performed alongside Rozeo and released in 2024. The sisters have collaborated with several major artists, including Farhan Saeed and Atif Aslam.
In a video shared on social media following their EQUAL Pakistan announcement, the sisters said a platform like this is important because it gives Pakistani artists recognition on a global scale. They added that being included on the same list as artists such as Abida Parveen and Sanam Marvi felt surreal and exciting.
On the professional front, the Sabri Sisters are preparing for their debut UK tour this summer, blending traditional qawwali with modern melodies. Produced by Qawwali World, the tour kicks off on July 31 at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and concludes on August 2 at The Lowry in Manchester.
