More than 100 people gathered in San Francisco to let out their anger and frustration by screaming loudly toward the Pacific Ocean.

The event highlighted several reasons for screaming including rising rent frustration with artificial intelligence anger and simply wanting to feel better.
Before the group scream participants also took part in a screaming contest. They were judged based on the loudness, length and style of their screams.
Olivia Gugliemotto won the competition after her scream reached 121.9 decibels. The figure was close to the reported world record of 129 decibels. As a prize she received a small megaphone.
The winner said her scream was not about one particular problem. Instead she described it as a scream for “the whole world.”
