Selena Gomez announces Rare Impact Fund benefit amid lawsuit

Selena Gomez has announced the upcoming annual benefit for her Rare Impact Fund as legal challenges continue to surround Wondermind, the mental health company she co-founded with her mother.

On August 24, Gomez revealed that the fourth annual Rare Impact Fund Benefit will be held on October 14 at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles. Actor and comedian Sean Hayes will host the event, which aims to bring attention and financial support to organizations working to improve mental health services for young people.

The Rare Impact Fund was established to expand access to mental health resources and education for youth around the world. According to the event announcement, the organization is working toward its goal of mobilizing $100 million for mental health organizations. Gomez is currently facing a lawsuit filed by five investors connected to Wondermind Global. The investors allege that the singer and other parties involved in the company failed to develop the mental health business as they had promised. According to the allegations, the company subsequently experienced serious financial difficulties.

The legal action reportedly seeks approximately $1.2 million in investments, in addition to damages and legal costs. The lawsuit places renewed attention on Wondermind and its financial situation, while Gomez continues to promote mental health awareness through her Rare Impact Fund.
