Bollywood actress Sushmita Sen has spoken warmly about her experience working with superstar Shah Rukh Khan, describing him as a “king” not just on screen but also in real life.

Sen recently attended a public event where she was asked to reflect on her time with Khan during the shooting of the 2004 hit film Main Hoon Na, directed by Farah Khan. The film, which remains one of Bollywood’s most loved commercial successes, featured Shah Rukh Khan in the role of an undercover army major posing as a college student, while Sushmita Sen played a college professor.

Recounting her memories, Sushmita did not hold back her admiration for her co-star. She said that everything people often hear about Shah Rukh Khan’s personality is absolutely true in her experience. According to her, he is not only an exceptional performer but also a deeply caring individual off camera.

She further praised him for his humility and the way he treats people around him. Calling him “a very large-hearted man,” she emphasized that he looks after everyone on set and maintains a respectful and grounded attitude despite his superstar status. Sen added that Khan is a “good, humble and God-fearing person,” reinforcing her long-held respect for him.

Main Hoon Na, produced by Gauri Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, also starred Zayed Khan, Amrita Rao, Suniel Shetty, Boman Irani, and Naseeruddin Shah in important roles. The film was widely appreciated for its mix of action, drama, comedy, and emotional storytelling, and remains a significant milestone in early 2000s Bollywood cinema.
