Taylor Swift celebrated another major UK chart achievement with a stylish nod to British fashion.
The pop superstar secured a double victory on the UK charts as “Patient Zero” reached No. 1 on the Official Singles Chart while “The Life of a Showgirl” returned to the top of the Official Albums Chart.
Swift marked the milestone during an appearance in London on October 2, where she wore a Burberry polo shirt worth $960. The long-sleeve design featured contrasting plaid detailing, giving her look a classic British touch.
“Patient Zero” opened at No. 1 on the Official Singles Chart, giving Swift her eighth UK No. 1 single.
The achievement also made 2026 a record year for the singer on the UK singles chart. “Patient Zero” became her third No. 1 single of the year, following “Opalite” and “I Knew It, I Knew You” from the “Toy Story 5” soundtrack.
Swift has now scored three separate UK No. 1 singles in a single calendar year for the first time in her career.
At the same time, “The Life of a Showgirl” returned to No. 1 on the Official Albums Chart. The album reclaimed the top position exactly one year after its original release on October 3, 2025.
The album has now spent five non-consecutive weeks at No. 1 in the UK, adding another milestone to Swift’s ongoing chart success.
The latest achievement also marks Swift’s fifth Official Chart Double, with the singer reaching No. 1 on both the singles and albums charts with a different combination of releases each time.
Swift has achieved an Official Chart Double in every calendar year since 2022, further extending her run of UK chart milestones.
Her latest success comes during the ongoing era of “The Life of a Showgirl,” which has already produced several major achievements.
During the album’s opening week, Swift made UK chart history by occupying the top three positions on the UK Singles Chart at the same time. “The Fate of Ophelia,” “Opalite” and “Elizabeth Taylor” took the top three spots.
The latest chart victory is also linked to “The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore,” an expanded edition of the album released on September 25.
The extended version added four new songs to the original project: “Patient Zero,” “Cleveland!,” “Pink Clouding” and “Babylon.”
Swift wrote the additional songs during a spontaneous trip to Sweden with longtime collaborators Max Martin and Shellback.
With “Patient Zero” now at No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart and “The Life of a Showgirl” back at the top of the albums chart, Swift has added another major achievement to the album era.
Her latest double chart success combines another UK music milestone with a fashion moment, as the singer celebrated her latest achievement in a distinctly British-inspired look.
