Speaker of Iran’s Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, has sent an official letter to Speaker of Pakistan’s National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq.
In the letter, the Iranian parliamentary speaker invited Ayaz Sadiq to participate in a condolence ceremony scheduled to be held in Tehran on July 3.
According to the letter, the ceremony will be organized in connection with the reported martyrdom of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and will be attended by senior Iranian officials and foreign dignitaries.
Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf conveyed his best wishes and goodwill to the people of Pakistan, Speaker Ayaz Sadiq and members of the National Assembly.
The Iranian Speaker praised the longstanding brotherly relations between Pakistan and Iran. He also appreciated the strategic partnership and close cooperation between the two neighboring countries.
According to an official statement, Ghalibaf expressed deep sorrow and grief over the reported loss of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
