RAWALPINDI : The Department of Fine Arts at Rawalpindi Women University organized Thesis Exhibition 2026, showcasing artworks created by students, including paintings, sculptures, and miniature art.

The exhibition was organized in collaboration with the Information and Culture Department of the Government of Punjab and the Punjab Council of the Arts, Rawalpindi. Vice Chancellor of Rawalpindi Women University, Professor Dr. Taiba Zarif, inaugurated the exhibition, while Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Culture Punjab, Shazia Rizwan Asif, attended as the chief guest.

Director of the Punjab Council of the Arts, Rawalpindi, Muhammad Shakoor, along with university professors and students, welcomed the chief guest and presented her with a bouquet.

Shazia Rizwan Asif visited the exhibition and reviewed the artworks, appreciating the students’ creativity and artistic abilities.

Speaking on the occasion, she said that “our daughters are second to none in any field.” Through their talent, hard work, and creative thinking, they are not only bringing pride to the country but also playing a positive role in society.

She emphasized that providing young female students with ample opportunities to showcase their abilities is an important need of the time. She said such activities are essential for promoting the fine arts among young people and highlighting the talents of emerging artists.

She added that the Government of Punjab would continue to play its role in promoting the fine arts and encouraging young artists.
