Three Pakistani sisters make history with Asian Games squash selection

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s squash scene is celebrating a remarkable family achievement after three sisters — Mahwish Ali, Sehrish Ali and Mahnoor Ali — were selected to represent the country in squash at the upcoming Asian Games.

The sisters will share a unique sporting experience as they prepare to compete together on one of Asia’s biggest sporting stages, an achievement they describe as both a source of immense pride and a special family milestone.

For the three young athletes, representing Pakistan individually would have been a major honour. Doing it together makes the opportunity even more meaningful.

“It is a proud and honourable moment for us that, for the first time, all three sisters will represent Pakistan together at the Asian Games,” the squash sisters said.

“We support each other and keep encouraging one another,” Sehrish said, emphasising how their family bond has become an important part of their preparation.
