The leaders also reviewed developments in the Middle East and ongoing efforts to address the rapidly changing regional situation. However, the official Emirati statement did not provide details of any specific diplomatic or military measures agreed upon during the conversation.

Iranian state television previously quoted the country’s military as saying that it had targeted US military-related facilities at Kuwait’s Ahmed Al Jaber Air Base. Iranian officials claimed that satellite communications equipment warehouses and aircraft hangars were among the targets.

Iran also claimed that its forces had targeted US troops and radar systems at Al Minhad Air Base in the United Arab Emirates using missiles and drones. Tehran described the operations as a response to US military strikes.
