The videos are not real footage of an actual renaming or construction project. They were presented as AI-generated content, highlighting how artificial intelligence is increasingly being used by political figures and online users to create highly realistic but fictional scenes.

Trump’s post comes amid his long-running dispute with Canada and his previous push to refer to Lake Ontario by the alternative name “Lake America.”
