TWICE’s Sana confirms acting debut alongside Takeru Satoh in upcoming film

After captivating audiences worldwide as a member of the globally successful K-pop group TWICE, Sana is preparing for a new milestone in her career. The singer has officially confirmed her acting debut and will take on a leading role in the upcoming Korea-Japan co-produced film Nyangi (working title), starring opposite acclaimed Japanese actor Takeru Satoh.  

The news was confirmed by JYP Entertainment, ending weeks of speculation surrounding Sana’s next career move. The project marks her first acting role since making her debut with TWICE more than a decade ago, making it one of the biggest announcements for fans this year.  

Sana will star alongside Takeru Satoh, who is internationally recognised for portraying Himura Kenshin in the live-action Rurouni Kenshin film series. According to reports, filming for Nyangi will begin in Japan during the second half of 2026.
