At least two people were killed and more than 30 others were injured after a fire broke out at a hospital in the northern German town of Ludwigslust during the early hours of Thursday.

The blaze erupted in a section of the Helene-von-Bülow Hospital and quickly spread through parts of the building, forcing authorities to launch a large-scale evacuation and rescue operation.
